Description
Henri Bourgeois is a renowned 10th generation winemaking family, producing exquisite wines from some of the best terroir in the Loire Valley, and this super premium Sancerre d'Antan is amongst the finest in the region. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes for this wine come from a small vineyard planted on classic flint soils, whose old vines produce a small yield of exceptionally concentrated grapes.
Fermentation takes place in old oak barrels followed by maturation on the fine lees to add richness. This is a seriously structured Sancerre that has the ability to age and develop for up to 8 years but is equally impressive when drunk young and fresh.
For fans of top Sauvignon this stellar wine is a must buy treat.
