This wine come from vineyards located at 450m above sea level to retain freshness and acidity in the Sangiovese grapes. This is a fresh, balanced wine for early drinking. The Sangiovese fruit is softened by the addition of Merlot and 6 months ageing in large oak barrels. Aromas of ripe red fruit and sweet spice before a long fresh finish. An ideal match for tomato-based pasta dishes.

Founded in 1998, Icario Wines is located near the town of Montepulciano, amongst the rolling hills of southern Tuscany’s Siena region. The 22 hectare estate was bought by the German Rothenberger family in 2015.
