Description

Buying their first vineyard in 1731, Louis Latour are one of the most highly regarded names in Beaune. Montagny is situated 30 kms south of Beaune in the Côte Chalonnaise, and makes white wine from the Chardonnay grape. The vineyard soils are limestone, chalk, and clay with an average age of fifty years old. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and is not oaked aged which gives a refreshing crispness. Louis Latour Montagny Les Buys has a rich note of cut hay, almond, and citrus with a lively elegant palate that finishes on a crisp note.
