Organically grown, this wine is alive, clean and fleshy with good fruitiness balanced by ripe fruitand pleasant persistence. Made from organic grapes grown in Spain's hot Jumilla region, this wine is a great example of the quality available when you step outside of the classic wine regions in Spain. Luzón are one of the best wineries in the region - evident in this clean and fleshy wine with good fruitiness balanced by ripe fruit and pleasant persistence. The tannins are round on the long finish. Bodegas Luzón was established in 1916 and specialises in growing Jumilla´s Monastrell grape. The estate is now owned by the Fuertes Family, who have invested heavily in the vineyards and winery.
The climate in this part of Spain is Mediterranean, with dry, sunny growing seasons. This helps the grapes remain healthy, disease free and allows for easier implementation of sustainable farming practices. Bodegas Luzón No Added Sulphur is fruit driven with juicy bramble fruit flavours. The tannins are well-integrated and overall the wine is fresh and balanced, the only sulphites in this wine have occurred naturally during fermentation.

We invite you to explore Jumilla with Vicente Mico & Ramon Esteso of long-time partners Bodegas Luzón, who will be joining O'Briens Wine Director Lynne Coyle Master of Wine for a deep dive into the vineyards, grapes, microclimates, and wines of this fantastic off-the-beaten-track wine region.
