Distilled in Speyside since 1824, The Macallan is renowned for its exceptional commitment to oak cask maturation. The Double Cask range combines sherry-seasoned European oak & American oak casks, creating a beautifully balanced single malt that showcases the best of both worlds. European oak delivers the rich spice, dried fruit & depth synonymous with The Macallan, while American oak contributes sweeter notes of vanilla, toffee & baked fruit. The casks are crafted & seasoned with sherry in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, before being transported to Scotland for maturation.
The Macallan Double Cask 15-Year-Old is bottled at 43% ABV & presented in its entirely natural colour. The result is a smooth, complex Speyside single malt.
Serve neat in a tulip-shaped whisky glass to appreciate its full character, or add a few drops of water to reveal additional layers of flavour.
