Crafted in Galway by the Micil family, who have been distilling poitín for six generations, Micil Poitín is deeply rooted in Irish distilling heritage. The word poitín translates as "small pot" in Irish, a reference to the small pot stills traditionally used to make this once illicit spirit.Made from 100% Irish malted barley and infused with locally sourced Connemara bogbean, Micil Poitín delivers a distinctive flavour profile. Bottled at 44% ABV, it is smooth enough to sip neat while also having the structure and character needed for exceptional cocktails.
For a refreshing serve, try a Micil Mule by mixing Micil Poitín with ginger beer, fresh lime, and plenty of ice. It's a modern twist on a classic cocktail that perfectly highlights the unique character of Irish poitín.
