Brewed in Inchicore by Rascals, Breakfast of Champions is a Coffee Oatmeal Stout designed for pure stisfaction. Built on a generous malt bill of pale, chocolate, brown, and aromatic malts, it is rounded out with flaked oats for a smooth, satisfying body. Fresh coffee from local roastery Imbibe Coffee is added for intensity and lift, while lactose softens the edges, bringing a gentle sweetness that keeps the beer composed rather than heavy. At 6.1 percent, it sits firmly in the realm of indulgent yet drinkable seasonal stouts.
Serve lightly chilled rather than ice cold to show its full character. Maybe try matching it with a simple slice of chocolate cake. Heaven.
