Redbreast Moscatel Cask Edition is an Irish single pot still whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork finished in Moscatel wine casks from Málaga, Spain as part of the Iberian Series. Its mash bill of malted and unmalted barley is triple distilled in copper pot stills then initially matured in traditional ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry casks before spending time in Moscatel wine casks sourced from family-run Bodegas Quitapenas. This finishing step brings a hint of floral aromatics and honeyed fruit influence that lifts the classic weight and spice of Redbreast’s pot still style.
