Description
All of the grapes for this wine come from the Alexander Valley, billed as “California’s best-kept secret”. It is crafted from over 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and a dash of other Bordeaux varieties and is aged for 24 months in American oak. Expect lots of that classic Cabernet blackcurrant/cassis character along with some vanilla, cocoa and some subtle forest floor notes. A delight.Tasting Note
Maroon in the glass with a garnet hue, it has an enticing nose of maraschino cherries, blackberry bramble and brisket with notes of vanilla, clove and star anise from the 24 months in American oak. It is mouthwatering with a fruity mid-palate of currant, toasted vanilla and roasted brown sugar. Structured tannins provide an elegant character with a long and expressive finish.Product Reviews

Silver Oak
Silver Oak was founded in 1972 by two friends, Raymond Twomey-Duncan and Justin Meyer. The estate is still in the Duncan family’s hands and now farms over 160 hectares of vineyards in California.
