Description

Smith Woodhouse was founded in 1784 and is currently owned by the renowned port shipper, the Symington Family. Not as well-known as some of its peers, Smith-Woodhouse has built a reputation for producing a limited amount of exquisite quality, good value wines. The grapes for this delicious 10-year-old tawny port are sourced from the Rio Torto Valley in the Douro.

Tasting Note

It is full-bodied and powerful with good grippy tannins and crunchy, bright acidity. Expect dried fruit flavours of fig and raisin with a nutty mid-palate of walnut and pecan. The finish is long and complex with orange peel and dark chocolate notes.
