Description

Torbreck's wines are benchmark Barossa, combining the old vine ripe fruit of the Barossa Valley with a European elegance and balance. The Steading is Torreck's homage to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Oak ageing is subtle and this wine is all about fruit purity allied to a wonderful mineral depth.

Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate

Torbreck’s full-bodied The Steading is a sturdy Barossa blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. Hints of smoke and grilled meat bring savory complexity to the cherry and raspberry fruit. Firm tannins suggest cellaring a year or two, but they also serve to define the fruit, imparting shape and length to the palate. 93/100.
