If Albarino has become the most popular white grape among Irish drinkers in recent years, then Argentine Malbec is its red counterpart. Its popularity has not waned in recent years, and it’s easy to see why as an approachable, food-friendly wine. This is very much a modern style Malbec with an intense purplish red colour and oozes ripe plum fruit, and gentle black pepper, aromas. The palate is soft, smooth and packed with stewed plum and red fruit notes, integrated tannins, and a little sweet spice. Lasting aftertaste. Enjoy with: Burger with all the trimmings.
