Bodegas Trenza was established in 2004 by the Danish winemaking brothers David and Jonas Tofterup. David has twice been named Best Winemaker of Young Wines in Spain, while Jonas is the only Danish Master of Wine. Between them, they have crafted wines across four continents. In Alicante, they work exclusively with native grapes, with over 95% of their vineyards dry-farmed, meaning without irrigation. At the heart of their work is the Orphica range, made from semi-dried grapes in a style reminiscent of the Italian Appassimento. Together, these practices result in wines that are expressive, refined, and deeply rooted in place.
