Domaine de Colonat is a family estate in Beaujolais. Thomas Collonge, 7th generation, continues the history of the Domaine with his wife Julie. The estate produces authentic Gamay wines that reflect the region’s celebrated terroir.
Beaujolais has seen a remarkable revival in recent years, as people rediscover the elegance, purity of fruit, and food-friendly nature of its wines. Based in the village of Villié-Morgon, Domaine de Colonat is rooted in the heart of Beaujolais cru country. The estate spans 12 hectares across seven different appellations. The vineyards lie on granitic soils, which are particularly well-suited to Gamay, giving the wines structure, freshness, and aromatic depth.
The Domaine produces a range of wines, from lively Beaujolais to more complex Morgon, each crafted with respect for terroir and family tradition, expressing both the generosity and elegance of Beaujolais.
