Kangarilla Road
McLaren Vale, South Australia

Kangarilla Road was established in 1997 by Kevin and Helen O’Brien in the McLaren Ranges in South Austrialia . With proud Irish heritage, the couple farms their boutique 12 hectare estate alongside their son Charlie.

The McLaren Vale has a Mediterranean climate with long, warm summers followed by mild winters and low annual rainfall. The proximity to the ocean helps moderate temperatures and helps provide a long growing season. This encourages slow ripening of the fruit, giving wines of finesse and elegance. The climate provides perfect conditions for Mediterranean black-skinned grape varieties, including Shiraz, Primitivo, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo The family's vineyards are certified sustainably farmed.

Kevin O’Brien is an Oenologist, with over 34 years experience in the wine industry. His winemaking philosophy centres on capturing the potential of the McLaren Vale to produce powerful wines, displaying fragrant spice, depth of fruit flavours and a rich savouriness.
