In the early 1990s, siblings Stefano and Marina Girelli from Trentino discovered the exceptional vineyards of Sicily. Their love of Sicily led them to acquire Santa Tresa in 2001, embarking on a complete restoration of the estate. They embraced the immense potential of indigenous grape varieties such as Frappato and Grillo, and established an experimental vineyard dedicated to rediscovering traditional Sicilian vines. Santa Tresa’s wines are certified organic and sustainable. Their organic sparkling wines showcase these native varieties to great effect, combining freshness, character, and a true sense of place.
