Talbott Vineyards
Talbott Vineyards
Monterey, USA

Located in Monterey, California, Talbott Vineyards was founded in 1982 by Robb Talbott when he planted his now renowned Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards.

The climate in this part of California is cooled by the Pacific Ocean breezes and the morning fog. This, along with the higher altitude Sleepy Hollow vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands creates ideal growing conditions for the classic Burgundian grapes.

The soils are gravelly loam soil, with sand and granite resulting in low yields of grapes that develop rich and complex flavours in the wines.

Winemaker David Coventry and his team aim to tap into traditional Burgundian cellar methods whilst retaining the authenticity of Californian terroir.
