Château Mauvesin Barton is a historic estate in Moulis-en-Médoc, acquired by the Barton Sartorius family in 2011. It has since built a reputation for producing high-quality Bordeaux that consistently overdelivers for the price. With centuries of winemaking heritage, each family member plays a key role in the estate’s success. The 46-hectare vineyard lies on clay-gravel & fine gravel soils, ideal for Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc. The wine is aged in oak barrels, one third of which are new. Environmental protection & quality are central to the Barton philosophy, ensuring wines that reflect the true character of this distinguished estate.

Tasting Note

The 2022 vintage offers aromas of ripe blackcurrant and blackberry fruit with floral and spicy notes, underpinned by hints of mint. The mouthfeel is elegant and velvety, with well-integrated fine oak that lead to a long , savoury finish.
