One of Alsace's most distinctive Grand Cru sites, Rosacker sits on ancient Muschelkalk limestone in the village of Hunawihr, giving Julien Schaal's Riesling a precision and mineral depth that sets it apart. The east and south-east facing hillside, at 260 to 330 metres altitude, delivers ideal ripening conditions while preserving the freshness that defines great Alsace Riesling.The wine is meticulously made using whole-bunch pressing and natural fermentation for up to three months. The result is wine that preserves the “sense of place” of this Grand Cru site. Exceptional with shellfish or grilled fish with a lemon sauce
