Quite excited about the arrival of this wonderfully rich wine. The family-run Lagar de Costa in Galicia’s Salnés Valley is responsible for producing an outstanding Albariño for more than a decade, and has now released their Tradición. Crafted by Sonia Costa, from parcels of grapes some 45 years old, it is aged on the lees in a large old oak barrel, and a further year in bottle before release. The result: With its distinctly mineral and saline character, the beautifully rounded palate has great depth, with notes of citrus, peach, spice and hazelnuts. Intense and very satisfying finish. Enjoy with: heavenly choice with shellfish.

Lagar de Costa is a boutique family winery in the Salnés Valley of Spain is run by the third generation of the Costa family. The estate solely grows the local Albariño grape variety and combines the traditional and the modern to create wines full of unique character.
