This limited-edition Rioja Gran Reserva comes from Bodegas Riojanas, one of Spain’s most renowned wineries. It is made with 100% Tempranillo grapes grown in the finest vineyards of the “El Monte” estate in Cenicero, which are noted for their ageing potential. The wine is then aged in a mix of 50% new and 50% 3 to 4-year-old American oak barrels. Once bottled, it matures in the winery’s cellars, slowly developing exceptional aromatic complexity.
The result of such time, care and expertise is a wine that is wonderfully nuanced and full of rich fruit notes and warming spice. It’s a perfect bottle for a special occasion or as a thoughtful gift.
