Penfolds Max’s Chardonnay is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert, who cemented the winery's reputation between 1948-1975. The grapes are from the cooler climate Adelaide Hills, and a level of acidity gives the wine a certain elegance and freshness. This is a great introduction to Penfolds white wines and very much in the modern Australian style, beautifully balancing pronounced ripe pear and nectarine fruit flavours, subtle toasty oak and crisp, refreshing acidity.Product Reviews
