When we reviewed this modern-style Rioja last July we said: “A most welcome addition to O’Briens’ impressive listings from Spain’s Rioja region” – and happily gave it four stars. Modern techniques are used judiciously to craft this delicious red blend reflecting Rioja’s long winemaking tradition. Nice, deep ruby colour and appealing ripe red fruit aromas, with a hint of spice and tobacco, the palate is soft and smooth with notes of oak, strawberries and raspberries. Good length. Enjoy with: Grilled ribeye steak.
