A Wonderful Classic Sweet Wine
grechetto, malvasia, trebbiano
16.5%
Tapas, Nuts & Olives

Description

A wonderfully complex, classic style of sweet wine with intense flavours of raisin, walnut and candied lemon peel.

Vin Santo (Holy Wine) is an old style of Italian wine made from Malvasia and Trebbiano grapes. The grapes are dried under the winery's cellar roof for three months, resulting in concentrated flavours and sugars. They wine is then matured very slowly in small oak barrels – this process takes up to five years to complete but the results are worth the wait.

Tasting Note

An intensely concentrated sweet wine, offering rich flavours of raisin, walnut, and candied lemon peel. The palate is luscious and rich, but with a nice seam of refreshing acidity acting as a counterbalance.
