Sophie Schaal Pinot Gris is an organic white wine from Alsace, made by Burgundy-born winemaker Sophie Schaal in Hunawihr. Produced from hand-harvested grapes grown on clay-limestone soils, it is carefully whole-bunch pressed and gently fermented to in French oak barrels. The result is a fuller-style Pinot Gris with structure and subtle spice, making it a versatile food wine.
Serve lightly chilled and pair with roast pork or creamy pasta dishes. Winemaker Sophie Schaal also suggests trying it with jamón or an aged gouda.

This is a fab organic white wine from the Alsace region in northern France, made from one of their native Pinot Gris grapes. Pinot Gris tends to have lovely spicy flavours and this one is a big mouthful of white fruit —think pear! This wine has been aged in wood, so it has lovely vanilla flavours. If you are looking for something to serve with roast pork, then this is the wine to choose.
